One cold December morning,

Geronimo the Bear,

Went over to his window,

And saw a sad sight there.

A lovely Robin Redbreast,

Had come there over night,

But when he saw our furry friend,

The poor thing shook with fright!

Bear opened up the window,

And then stretched out a paw,

"I don't mean any harm!" he said,

"Of that you can be sure!"

The robin was extremely pleased,

And did as he was told,

He flew right on to Teddy's paw,

It was so nice to hold!

He chirped; "It's great to see you,

My friends all call me Rob,

An early morning warm up,

Is really just the job!"

"I'm sorry I was frightened",

He added with a grin,

"It's just those human beings,

They put me in a spin!"

Geronimo just giggled,

"I realise that!" he said,

"But over on that table,

There is some tasty bread!"

Poor Rob was REALLY hungry,

SO this made him very glad,

He flew straight to the table,

And a lovely feast he had!

But just as he was finishing,

The tasty piece of bread,

Another Robin came along,

"Hello my dear!" she said.

"Good gracious!" cried Geronimo,

"Two guests instead of one!

Please stay for breakfast Rachel,

And have a lot of fun!"

The lady Robin was so pleased,

"Oh thank you!" she replied,

"A nibble of that tasty bread,

Will keep me satisfied!"

Poor Rob was very smitten,

His face went very red,

"Oh Rachel you are wonderful,

Please have my crust!" he said.

His lady friend was very pleased,

Because she liked him too,

"Oh thank you Dearest Rob!" she chirped,

"That's really kind of you!"

The Robins had a lovely time,

They ate and ate and ate,

And then they flew to Rob's warm nest,

Before it got too late!

They have four little babies now,

But when it starts to snow,

They always come and visit,

Their friend Geronimo!
