Geronimo, the little bear,

Was staying on a farm,

One day he met a giant pig,

Who had such earthy charm!

"Good golly!" cried the Bear aloud,

"I've seen you on the telly,

Your owner had to throw you out,

Because of your pot belly!"

"I lived in London" squealed the pig,

"I went when I was tiny,

My little mistress picked me out,

Because my nose was shiny!"

"Things went so very well at first,

But then I grew too fat,

But I am very happy here,

You can be sure of that!"

"Some humans make me mad" said Bear,

"They seem to have no shame,

But now I'm feeling silly,

As I do not know your name!"

"I'm Pete!" replied the piggy,

"In mud I love to play,

And I would really like it,

If we had some fun today!"

"That sounds a good idea to me,"

Replied the little Teddy,

"Although I'm not as strong as you,

For fun I'm always ready!"

The fight began quite quickly,

But soon there was a thud,

The little bear had fallen,

Head first into some mud!

The piggy started laughing,

And so did little Bear,

Who said, "You're really rotten Pete,

For simply standing there!"

"You had to learn your lesson,"

Said piggy with a grin,

"Round here there are so many traps,

It really is a sin!"

"Okay then!" laughed Geronimo,

"Next time I will be ready,

I can be very quick you know,

Although I'm just a Teddy!"

Just then the farmers wife came out,

To give Pete Pig his dinner,

"All right then!" thought Bear smugly,

"I'll show you who's the winner!"

Pete Pig was busy eating food,

And grunting all he could,

He thought the little teddy Bear,

Was being very good!

But very, very quickly,

An object hit his head,

And soon he was in strife once more,

"Oh deary me!" he said.

He heard the sound of laughter,

And everything was clear,

"Oh gosh!" he cried quite loudly,

"Revenge is sweet I fear!"

"That's true enough!" said Teddy,

"But we have scored a draw,

And when I'm next at Holly Farm,

I will be back for more!"

THE END.
