Auntie Val is very lucky,

She lives at Holly Farm,

Along with several animals,

Who have tremendous charm.

Geronimo loves all of them,

So each day after school,

He heads straight for the farmhouse,

And plays it very cool.

When he went up there last Tuesday,

Percy Pig was in a state,

He grunted "You must help me out,

Before it is too late.

I was extremely happy,

But now things have gone wrong,

I ‘m in a right old pickle,

As my toe nails are too long."

"I cannot chase the ladies,

Around this massive yard,

So as you can imagine,

My life is now so hard."

"Oh goodness me," Bear answered,

"No wonder you’re upset,

But you mustn’t get downhearted,

As we’re not beaten yet!"

"Oh yes we are," groaned Percy,

"My chasing days are through,

I’ll be stuck in here for ever,

Feeling very sad and blue!"

"Oh do cheer up!" laughed Teddy,

"I’ve got a master plan,

I’ll go and get this sorted out,

As quickly as I can!"

He went into the farmhouse

And then what do you think,

He came out with some clippers,

And was truly tickled pink.

But the pig was still quite doubtful,

And he wrinkled up his nose,

"Oh no you don’t!" he grunted.

"I don’t like the look of those!"

"I’m sure that if you use them,

They’ll be painful as can be,

So you’ve no chance whatsoever,

Of trying them on me!"

Our Hero looked at Percy,

And then he laughed and laughed,

He said "From where I’m standing,

It’s you whose being daft!"

"Most humans pay a fortune,

For a lengthy pedicure,

Now do yourself a favour,

And lay down on the floor!"

"Okay then," Piggy grunted,

"I’ve nothing else to do,

But if this treatment hurts me,

I’ll have strong words with you!"

"You’ve got no need to worry,"

Explained our furry friend,

"The ladies will adore you,

When this foot care’s at an end."

"Oh will they now?" said Percy,

Flashing an enormous smile,

"In that case all my suffering,

Seems so much more worthwhile!"

He made himself quite comfy,

Then the Pedicure began,

And to his sheer amazement,

Things really went to plan.

"I like this," he yawned sleepily,

"It’s ever so relaxing,

For when you’ve got long toe nails,

Life can be very taxing!"

"Thank goodness!" beamed Geronimo,

"The penny drops at last,

I promised that your problems,

Would soon be in the past!"

With that he went on snipping,

And when the job was done,

The pig laughed "Now I’m better,

I’m off to have some fun!"

"It seems you were not joking,

When you said this wasn’t hard,"

And feeling very happy,

He raced out to the yard.

Soon he was chasing ladies,

Much faster than before,

"This is brilliant," he grunted ,

"I couldn’t ask for more!"

"Oh lovely" giggled little Bear,

"But now my work’s been done,

I think I’ll do the decent thing,

And leave you to your fun!"

"You must come back!" squealed Percy,

"I quite enjoyed that trim,

Next time to I have to have this done.

I will not feel so grim!"

"Oh thanks a lot!" called Teddy,

As he walked on up the lane,

"It’s really nice to see you,

At your cheeky best again!"

THE END.
