Geronimo
and the Merry Martians.
One
evening our Geronimo,
Was tucked
up nice and tight,
But then
he had the feeling,
That
something wasn’t right.
“My
goodness me,” he muttered,
“I feel
a sense of doom,
I’ve
landed in the strangest place,
And left
my cosy room.”
“Exactly
where I’ve ended up,
Is very
hard to tell,
But every
time I try to move,
Things
haven’t gone too well.
As if that
wasn’t bad enough,
I’m
hearing music too,
And wish
somebody was around,
To show me
what to do!”
“Don’t
worry,” said a tiny voice,
“You’re
now in outer space,
And when
you take a look around,
You’ll
grow to love this place!”
The little
Bear was unconvinced,
And he
began to scoff,
“This
has to be a joke,” he laughed,
“Your
rocker you are off!”
“I’m
not,” piped up the voice again,
“Do have
more faith in me,
This
planet is entirely real,
As you
will shortly see.
Now kindly
do the decent thing,
And open
up your eyes,
I
guarantee that when you do,
You’ll
get a big surprise!
Young
Teddy was still sceptical,
But did as
he was told,
And when
he looked around him,
His breath
he had to hold.
“Oh
golly,” he squealed loudly,
“I feel
like I could swoon,
For in
case I am mistaken,
I’ve
landed on the moon.”
“A
Martian wearing glasses,
Is
standing next to me,
So it
isn’t any wonder,
That I’m
puzzled as can be!”
“Don’t
worry,” smiled his zany friend,
“My
Christian name is Mike,
And all
the time I’m with you,
Disaster
will not strike!”
“Now
will you please stop fussing,
And come
and join the gang,
For when
we all start dancing,
Things go
with such a bang!”
“Good
heavens!” cried our furry Friend,
“I still
say you are mad,
But to
join you in this nonsense,
I’d
still be very glad!”
“Oh
brilliant,” Mike chuckled,
“You’ve
really made my day,”
And before
he even knew it,
They were
safely on their way.
Soon the
sound of techno music,
Boomed out
so loud and clear,
“Don’t
tell me,” grinned Geronimo,
“I think
we’re finally here!”
“That’s
right,” his new friend answered,
“We live
for having fun,
So now
I’ll introduce you,
To simply
everyone.”
“Come
here please lads,” he hollered,
“There’s
someone you should meet,
A very
jolly visitor,
Who’s
light upon his feet!”
Then much
to Bears amusement,
They came
over one by one,
And
giggled “Nice to meet you,
Come and
join in all the fun!”
“We’re
Matthew, Mark and Martin,”
They went
on to explain,
And once
you’ve joined our merry band,
You’ll
be as right as rain!”
“I
know,” smiled Teddy broadly,
“I
couldn’t ask for more,”
And in no
time whatsoever,
He was
dancing on the floor.
But then
he got too cocky,
And he
sadly tripped and fell,
He shouted
“Come and help me,
As things
aren’t going well!”
But much to his frustration,
The
Martians didn’t hear,
And
someone kept on saying,
“Get out
of bed my dear!”
Our Chum
was really livid,
Then he
opened up his eyes,
And when
he looked around him,
He gasped
in sheer surprise.
He was
back inside his bedroom,
All tucked
up nice and tight,
“Where
am I now?” he murmured,
“This
surely can’t be right.
I was
dancing with some Martians,
On the
surface of the moon,
Don’t
tell me our adventure,
Has ended
all too soon.”
Jane
kissed him on the forehead,
“I’m
afraid it has,” smiled she,
“Now
we’ll have to get a move on,
Or late
for school you’ll be!”
Geronimo
groaned heavily,
“Things
always end this way,”
But then
he leapt straight out of bed,
To start a
brand new day!
THE END.
