Geronimo And The Magic Flowers.
One
morning, before daybreak,
Geronimo the Bear,
Crept
out into the garden,
And met
some new friends there!
"The
flowers need a drink," he thought,
"They've stood here all night long,
I'm
sure a drop of water,
Will
make them big and strong!"
So over to the daisies,
The
kindly Teddy went,
To lend
them all a helping hand,
Was
clearly his intent!
He
sprinkled them with water,
Then
turned to walked away,
But
then a voice said; "Thank you!
You've
really made our day!"
"How very odd!" thought little Bear,
"I just
heard someone speak,
I must
be overtired,
As I've
had a busy week!"
"Oh no
you're not!" replied the voice,
"I'm
down here on the grass,
You've
been extremely generous,
And I
couldn't let it pass!"
The Teddy looked below him,
And
then what do you think?
He saw
a talking daisy,
And was
truly tickled pink!
"Hello"
she smiled "I'm Debbie,
I'm
glad that we could meet,
The
humans trample over us,
With
their enormous feet!"
"It's awful!" whispered Della,
"They
treat us just like dirt,
It
isn't any wonder,
That
our feelings get so hurt!"
"She's
right you know!" wailed Hilary,
A
beautiful Hydrangea,
"We
even have to meet at night,
Because
we are in danger!"
Geronimo was most upset,
He
said; "It's such a pity,
Because
from where I'm standing,
You all
look VERY pretty!
"Thanks
very much!" laughed Debbie,
"We
really were in strife,
But
since your little visit,
We've
all come back to life!"
"I'm so
relieved!" smiled Teddy,
"Those
humans make me cross,
But if
they just ignore you,
It
really is their loss!"
"I know," said Mandy Marigold,
"Let's
do a little dance,
And
prove what we are made of,
While
we have got the chance!"
Our
Furry Friend was spellbound,
