Geronimo
and the Fairy Godmother.
One
evening our Geronimo,
Just
couldn’t get to sleep,
“If this
goes on,” he muttered,
“I’ll
be in trouble deep.
I’m
feeling rather frazzled,
After such
a stressful day,
But it is
still impossible,
For me to
drift away!”
“Because
I’m only little,
I need a
lot of rest,
And so
this situation,
Is making
me depressed.”
But half
an hour later,
Poor Bear
was still awake,
And
sighing “Get me out of here,
I really
need a break!”
“Annoying
night time noises,
Keeping
clogging up my head,
And now an
evil monster,
Has
crawled beneath my bed!”
He insists
on staring at me,
With his
very beady eyes,
So as you
can imagine,
My fears I
can’t disguise!”
“I wish
someone would scoop me up,
And tell
me it’s all right,”
Then
beaming through the window,
There came
a flashing light!
The
frightened Teddy sat up straight,
He yelled
“It’s getting worse,
And if I
was a grown up,
I’d
start to swear and curse!”
“Oh
don’t do that,” a small voice squeaked,
“I’m
here to help you see,
Those
evil night time monsters,
They hold
no fear for me.
So if you
will allow me,
I’ll
help yours to abscond,
For in
case you didn’t realise,
I’m
magic with a wand!”
Our furry
friend was sceptical,
And
muttered “Leave me be,
It really
has been ages,
Since I
had some sleep you see!”
“I
can’t do that,” came the reply,
“Just
open up those eyes,
I
guarantee that when you do,
You’ll
get a big surprise!”
“Okay,”
yawned our Geronimo,
“I’ve
nothing else to do,”
But when
he opened up his eyes,
His
dearest wish came true.
A pretty
fairy dressed in green,
Was
sitting by his side,
She smiled
“I’m Auntie Debbie,
You’ve
got no need to hide!
“I am
your Fairy godmother”
She added
with a wink,
“I can
solve the biggest problems,
With a
flicker and a blink!”
She darted
all around the room,
Her tiny
wand in hand,
And
shouted “From this bedroom,
You’ve
been well and truly banned”
“You may
think you are fearless,
But your
actions have to cease,
Now do us
all a favour,
And leave
my friend in peace!”
The evil
looking monster,
Then
disappeared at speed,
“Oh
thanks a lot,” Bear Chuckled,
“That’s
all the help I need!”
“It’s
not,” smiled Auntie Debbie,
“There’s
one more thing to do,
I only
hope my magic,
Will work
as well on you.
There’s
no need to be nervous,
As I’m
someone you can trust,”
Then in
his eyes she sprinkled,
A speck of
sleepy dust!
“Oh
wonderful,” mused Teddy,
“It’s
made me go all drowsy,
So I’ll
travel of to dreamland,
Where
nothings ever lousy!”
Then
feeling very sleepy,
He rolled
over on his side,
While
saying “I’m so lucky,
To have
you as a guide!”
“I
know,” smiled Auntie Debbie,
“But I
am lucky too,
In fact it
is an honour,
To keep an
eye on you!”
Then she
flew out of the window,
With her
dainty little wings,
And now
the night time monster,
Has
stopped doing nasty things!
THE END.
