Geronimo
and the Fairy Feast.
Our furry
Chum Geronimo,
Was in a
dreadful state,
He groaned
“I’ve got a problem,
Which
really cannot wait.
It’s
Rosie Posy’s birthday,
In just a
week or so,
And
exactly what to get her,
I really
do not know!”
“To
complicate things further,
I’ve
spent my pocket money,
Which
means this situation,
Is very
far from funny!”
He sat
down on a massive log,
And then
began to cry,
“Oh
there’s no doubt about it,
A
nincompoop am I!”
“Rosie
Posy is so lovely,
But I’ve
gone and let her down,
And news
of what has happened,
Will
spread all over town!”
But after
just five minutes,
There was
a flashing light,
And
someone said “Don’t worry,
I’ll
quickly put things right”
“There’s
no need for dramatics,
I’m
fairy Dorothy,
Your
problems will soon vanish,
If you
just follow me!”
Then when
the light had faded,
Bear saw
that it was true,
A fairy
was beside him,
And she
was smiling too!
“Thank
goodness you’ve arrived” he squealed,
“I need
a helping hand,
For girlie
stuff is something,
I do not
understand.”
Friend
Dorothy stood up at once,
And took
him by the paw,
While
laughing “I will soon provide,
The gift
you’re waiting for.”
They
headed for her tiny house,
As quickly
as they could,
And then
she worked her magic,
Just like
she said she would.
She
fetched her biggest spell book out,
And Teddy
cried “Wow Wee,
We’ve
got to make these fairy cakes,
They look
just great to me!”
His new
found friend just giggled,
Then gave
the hugest wink,
And said
“I can do better,
Than
little cakes I think!”
She lifted
up her silver wand,
And
shouted out “Shazam,
Please
prove to everybody,
What a
clever lass I am!”
Before you
could say magic,
A feast
was on the table,
“Oh
golly,” squealed our furry chum,
“You’re
very, very able!
You’ve
conjured up a trifle,
And some
lovely orange jelly,
Young
Rosie’s bound to giggle,
When it
rumbles in her belly!”
“I
know,” the fairy chuckled,
“This is
her favourite food,
But then
for birthday parties,
She’s
always in the mood!”
She did a
little wiggle,
And in no
time at all,
They were
back in Bluebell forest,
And having
such a ball!
The guests
were tucking into,
The very
tasty fare,
And Rosie
giggled “Thank you,
You’re
such a thoughtful Bear!”
“Oh
no,” squealed our Geronimo,
“This
wasn’t down to me,
But a very
special person,
Called
fairy Dorothy!”
When
everybody looked around,
His clever
friend had gone,
But thanks
to all her efforts,
The fun
went on and on!
THE END.
