Geronimo the little Bear,

Was staying at his Nan’s,

From the moment he arrived there.

They started making plans.

He grinned "The sun is shining,

So there’s lots that we can do,

I thought we could go shopping,

And even to the zoo."

"There’s also a new theme park,

I think we ought to visit,

Because my mates have told me,

That the rides are quite exquisite!"

"All right," smiled the old woman,

"I’ll take you everywhere,

If the weather’s fine tomorrow,

We’ll head straight for the fair!"

Our Hero kissed her on the cheek,

"That sounds just great," he said,

Then feeling quite contented,

He went straight up to bed!

But when he awoke next morning,

It was pouring down with rain.

"Oh no," he groaned so heavily,

"This really is a pain!"

"Don’t look so down," Nan told him,

"I know we can’t go out,

But we can still have lots of fun,

Of that there is no doubt.

Things may look rather gloomy,

But there’s no need to wince,

For when we’ve had our breakfast,

I thought we’d dress up Prince!"

"But he’s a dog!" cried Teddy.

Screwing up his little nose,

"And in case you hadn’t noticed,

They don’t wear any clothes!"

"Well this one does," came the reply,

"Let’s go downstairs to eat,

And then you will be in for,

An unexpected treat!

When they’d finished off their breakfast,

And the washing up was done,

They rooted though the Ottoman,

And had a lot of fun.

"My Goodness!" squealed Our Furry Chum,

"I’ve found a woolly hat,

And I’ve come to the conclusion,

That he’ll look so good in that!"

"Of course he will!" Nan chuckled,

"I’ve found a jacket too,

Jane wore it as a baby,

But it’s just as good as new!"

When everything was ready,

She shouted out; "Here boy,

Let’s give you a make over,

That’ll make you jump for joy!"

Lovely Prince came bounding over,

As quickly as he could,

And then the twosome dressed him up,

Just like they said they would.

"You know," grinned our Geronimo,

"I think he looks so cute.

Although I was so doubtful,

About going down this route!"

"Guess what?" squealed the old woman,

"It’s clearing up outside,

Let’s grab the opportunity,

To take him for a ride.

Just give me half a minute,

And I’ll go and get the pram,

Some air would do us all some good,

Convinced of that I am!"

When everything was ready,

They pushed Prince down the road,

And the passers by admired,

Their very precious load.

When someone rubbed his belly,

He’d wag his little tail,

"You were right you know," laughed Teddy,

"This mission couldn’t fail!"

"When I saw this morning’s weather,

I felt a little sad,

Now I just can’t get over,

What a lovely time we’ve had."

His kindly Nan looked up at him,

"Well there you are," beamed she,

"It’s amazing what can happen,

When you take a tip from me!"

They winked at one another,

Then headed home again,

Having learned that fun is out there,

Even when it starts to rain!

THE END.
