Geronimo, the little Bear,

Is learning how to swim,

His teacher who's called Estrid,

Is VERY proud of him!

At first our friend was very scared,

He wouldn't move a paw,

And how to do the backstroke,

He really wasn't sure!

But Estrid is a kindly lass,

And sometimes she works magic,

She really dislikes lazy paws,

And thinks that they are tragic!

The Teacher had a cunning plan,

One day when it was sunny,

She took Bear on a special trip,

And with them went Friend Bunny!

Poor Bunny disliked water too,

Like Bear he couldn't swim,

Although the bigger Rabbits said,

That it was good for him!

Well, on the day the treat took place,

The friends were so excited,

To introduce her dolphin chums,

Kind Estrid was delighted!

The dolphins were a jolly bunch,

And had amazing powers,

Friend Estrid smiled; "There's Daphnie,

She'll play with you for hours!"

"You cheeky thing!" laughed Daphnie,

"My fins they never stop,

I'm always VERY hungry,

But don't have time to shop!"

"Alright then," said the Teacher,

"My friends can give you fishes,

But then you have to grant them,

Two very special wishes!"

So Daphnie smiled a great big smile,

And said "That's fine with me,

Your wishes sound exciting boys,

Whatever can they be?"

"I want to do the butterfly stroke",

Said Bunny with a giggle,

"And Teddy here would really love,

To see his two paws wiggle!"

"I'd love to swim just like a fish,"

Piped up Geronimo,

"So would you be a helpful friend,

And teach me all you know?"

So after Daphnie dolphin,

Had eaten lots of fishes,

She kept her special promise,

And granted the boys wishes!

Her pupils were quite scared at first,

But Daphnie had a plan,

She said; "Just watch me carefully,

And copy what you can!"

She flapped her pretty flippers,

And told them; "Now you try

It really is quite simple,

To do the butterfly!"

And then, as if by magic,

The boys began to swim,

They cried "This is fantastic,

Why did we feel so grim?"

Friend Estrid was delighted too,

She sat upon the side,

And every time they learned new skills,

She clapped and cheered with pride!

Geronimo the little Bear,

Did all his strokes with charm,

He even learned to exercise,

That VERY lazy arm!

He and his best friend Bunny,

Had lots and lots of fun,

They even learned a brand new song,

Before the day was done!

Friend Daphnie taught it to them,

The words went just like this,

'We like our swimming lessons,

They're much too good to miss!"

THE END.
