Geronimo Helps Daz the Dinosaur.

After eating up his supper,

Geronimo sighed "Gosh,

I’m feeling rather bloated,

Now I’ve eaten all that nosh!"

"So for that very reason,

I need some exercise"

He added very quickly,

As friend Jane rolled her eyes!

After kissing her small forehead,

The very greedy Bear,

Went out into the forest,

To get a bit of air.

When he reached his destination,

Things seemed normal as could be,

But then he heard a voice cry out,

"There’s just no hope for me!"

"I used to be so fearless,

"But now I’ve lost my roar,

And now I’m feeling lower,

Than I’ve ever done before."

"Oh golly," groaned our Furry Friend,

"Somebody’s in a state,

I’d better go and help them out,

Before it gets too late!"

"Hello," he called out loudly,

"I’m sad that you’re in trouble,

But if you will allow me to,

I’ll help you at the double.

If you tell me where you’re hiding,

I’ll be there in a trice,

Who knows? I might be able,

To offer some advice!"

"I hope so," wailed the voice again,

I’m underneath the tree,

My mates would have hysterics,

If they saw the state of me.

I’m feeling hot and sweaty,

And it’s difficult to speak,

In fact all I can manage,

Is the most pathetic squeak!"

"Oh poor old you!" sighed Teddy,

"No wonder you’re upset,

But I am on my way right now,

So we’re not beaten yet."

However when he reached the tree,

He had a big surprise,

Because a purple dinosaur,

Was right before his eyes.

Although he was unusual,

He was also very sweet,

And Geronimo squealed "Goodness,

What an unexpected treat!

I know that you are poorly,

But of this you can be sure,

I never thought I’d come across,

A real life Dinosaur!"

"Oh thank you!" wailed the poorly beast,

"But flattery’s no good,

I hoped you’d make me better,

Just like you said you would!"

"My name is Daz" he added,

With the most enormous sigh,

"And until we get this sorted,

I won’t be home and dry!"

"Don’t worry," bear responded,

"I’ve got it all in hand,

For these annoying ailments,

I really understand."

"I’ll even let you borrow,

My favourite woolly scarf,

The colours are so gaudy,

That they’re bound to make you laugh!"

"However if you stand there,

And do just as you’re told,

I’m also pretty certain,

It’ll stop you getting cold!"

"Oh wonderful," Daz answered,

"That’s exactly what I need,

Then maybe all these nasty germs,

Will disappear at speed!"

When the scarf was wrapped around him,

Our furry friend smiled "right,

There’s one more thing I have to do,

Before I leave tonight!"

"What’s that then?" asked the Dinosaur,

"I wish that you would tell,

Suspense is most annoying,

For someone who's not well!"

"I know that," giggled Teddy,

"But you’ll have to wait and see,

Now please relax a little,

And leave this all to me!"

He delved into his pocket,

Then pulled some chocolate out,

While grinning "This will cure you,

Of that I have no doubt!"

"It’s also worth a mention,

That you must eat the whole bar,

For if you do not do this,

We won’t get very far!"

"Don’t panic mate!|" Daz chuckled,

"That looks good enough to eat,

I will not waste a mouthful,

Of this extra special treat."

As soon as he was able to,

He swallowed it down whole,

"My roar is back!" he hollered,

"And now I’m on a roll!"

Geronimo looked up at him,

And gave a cheeky smile,

"In that case," he said happily,

"My mission’s been worthwhile!"

"Go and terrify the others,

While I catch up on some rest,

I think you will agree with me,

That I have done my best!"

"That’s true," Daz roared so loudly,

As he bounded out of sight,

"And I’ll always be so grateful,

For what you’ve done tonight!"
