The night before Christmas,

Geronimo Bear,

Looked out of his window,

To see who was there.

The Teddy was happy,

And filled with delight,

He heard some sweet sleighbells,

Which rang through the night!

"My goodness!" he shouted,

"I'm thrilled as can be,

As old Father Christmas,

Is visiting me!"

The sleighbells got closer,

And Bear was impressed,

He thought "This is magic,

I'll have to get dressed!"

He put on his clothes,

And went out in the snow,

The jolly man met him,

And yelled; "Ho! Ho! Ho!"

"Get in here," he added,

"We've no time to waste,

I'm delivering presents,

And have to make haste!"

Geronimo Bear,

Did just what he was told,

He climbed in the sleigh,

And forgot to feel cold!

"Please, where are we going?"

He asked the old man,

"I really do promise,

To help where I can!"

Father Christmas just chuckled,

"We're calling on Chris,

She's such a nice person,

Who's too good to miss!"

"Oh goody!" smiled Teddy,

"With you I agree,

She is the best friend,

There could possibly be!"

The sleigh travelled onwards,

Through moonbeams and stars,

"Good Heavens!" he shouted,

"I think I'm on mars!"

Father Christmas laughed loudly,

"Well most people do,

But nighttime is perfect,

For dreams to come true!"

"We're here now!" gasped Teddy,

"Let's go in the house,

I'll be very quiet,

Just like a church mouse!"

The super sleigh landed,

Outside Chris's door,

And Teddy crept in,

With presents galore!

And as she lay sleeping,

He filled up her sack,

Then kissed her so gently,

Before he went back!

"I've finished," he whispered,

She's bound to have fun,

Because that new dolly's,

A beautiful one!"

Father Christmas just giggled,

"She'll like the frog too,

Get cracking please Rudolph,

There's loads more to do!"

"Stop nagging!" teased Reindeer,

"I know where to go,

Because we are calling,

On Barry and Joe!"

"Oh goody!"  said Teddy,

"Those two are my friends,

But when snow is falling,

The fun never ends!"

They reached Barry's house,

And Bear tiptoed upstairs,

The two chums were sleeping,

Without any cares!

"How lovely!" thought Teddy,

"That's just what I need,"

He grabbed the two stockings,

And filled them with speed!

The stockings were bulging,

With toys games and sweets,

Bear thought; "Oh my goodness,

They'll love all these treats!"

His job was soon over,

And outside he ran,

Father Christmas was calling;

Be quick if you can!"

Geronimo smiled,

And climbed back in the sleigh,

In just a few seconds,

The friends sped away!

"But where are we going?"

Asked Bear with a grin,

"Because all this nightwork,

Puts me in a spin!"

Father Christmas just chuckled,

And gave a huge wink,

He said; "That's a secret,

You'll like it I think!"

Our Hero was puzzled,

But rode through the sky,

He looked at the houses,

And thought; "My oh my!"

The jolly man shouted;

"We'll have to stop here,"

His belly was shaking,

With laughter, not fear!

The Teddy looked closer,

"That's MY house!" he cried,

"Oh is it?" laughed Santa,

"We'd best step inside!"

Our Hero stepped down,

From the wonderful sleigh,

As old Father Christmas,

Was leading the way.

"Stay here," he told Reindeer,

"I won't be a minute,"

He grabbed Friend Jane's stocking,

And put lots of things in it!"

"Oh thank you!" cried Teddy,

"A great time I've had"

His jolly friend giggled,

"I'm ever so glad!"

"I've got to be going,"

He added so brightly,

"So climb into bed,

And then shut your eyes tightly!"

Geronimo grinned,

"Oh alright," he replied,

He pulled back the covers,

And then climbed inside!

Father Christmas bent over,

And spoke in Bear's ear,

"Don't worry," he whispered,

"I'll come back next year!"

THE END.
